You will hike at the foot of the island's mythical peaks, dive at the waterfall and then bivouac at a sculptor's workshop. Or lunch at one of the best table of Ua Pou and then sail around the island on a catamaran.

A simple encounter with the traditions, the arts and crafts and the gastronomy of the Marquesas Islands.

Conditions: Package for 10 pax minimum.

Accommodation:  a triple bedroom (one double bed and one single bed) with en-suite facilities. An adjoining adjustable open-plan space (up to four single beds) with two separate showers and two toilets.

Both areas are equipped with ceiling fans and open onto a terrace with panoramic views of Ua Pou peaks and the bay of Hakahau.

DAY 1    Arrival on the island, local welcome and visit of your house for the next days with us

DAY 2    Visit of the Hohoi valley. Hike at Mount Kohepu and archeological explanations at the Mauia site. Meeting with the                              flower stone craftmen 

DAY 3    Hike "The Traverse" and its breathtaking panorama on the peaks, dip at the waterfall, bivouac at a sculptor's,                                      dinner : discover the Polynesian oven

DAY 4    Meet Peak Poumaka followed  y a savory lunch at Tipiero's, Ua Pou chocolate at Manfred's, ending the day with                                  a island tour on catamaran "Le Contre-Temps"

DAY 5    Visit of the Arts and Crafts Center of Hakahau, rest at the pool or jacuzzi with a cocktail or a tea !

OPTION

Possibility of adding two extra days to Nuku Hiva with an excursion to Vaipo waterfall (Hakaui Valley). ​

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The price includes airport transfers from Nuku-Hiva or Ua Pou, boat crossing, full board accommodation (meals at the guesthouse, Marquesan oven, picnic) and activities (hikes, bivouac, dance shows, handicraft visits, the boat tour).

 

The price does not include international flights and inter-island flights, as well as drinks at the bar. The number of days and activities are completely flexible. Possibilities to be studied depending on the weather, the availability of service providers and vehicles (bike, car, boat) as well as rotation programs for planes and inter-island shuttles.
